Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted President Paul Kagame and his accompanying delegation at an official dinner at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah on Monday, September 7.
The dinner was held in honour of President Kagame during his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the event, Kagame and Sultan Haitham exchanged commemorative gifts symbolising the friendship and longstanding relations between Rwanda and Oman.
The dinner followed official talks between the two leaders at Al Hosn Palace earlier in the day.
Their discussions focused on expanding cooperation and investment in mining, renewable energy, food security, land ports, logistics and healthcare.
The two leaders also explored ways to strengthen the investment partnership between Rwanda and Oman for the mutual benefit of their countries.
President Kagame is in Oman for a two-day official visit. He was received by Sultan Haitham upon his arrival in Salalah.
The Rwandan delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Olivier Nduhungirehe, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Yusuf Murangwa, Minister of Trade and Industry Antoine Kajangwe and other senior officials.
The visit forms part of continuing efforts by Rwanda and Oman to deepen bilateral relations and broaden economic cooperation.
