Atome’s Carte d’Identité is among the performances scheduled in Kigali this weekend, alongside New Melody Choir’s Selah Concert III and Something African IV, featuring DJ Pyfo.

Atome brings ‘Carte d’Identité’ to Kigali Convention Centre

Actor, comedian and playwright Diogène Ntarindwa, known as Atome, will present Carte d’Identité at Kigali Convention Centre on Saturday. The one-man show explores identity and personal history through his experiences.

Ahead of the performance, Atome spoke about engaging younger audiences in discussions about history, values and their responsibilities in society. The production brings those subjects to the stage through storytelling and humour.

Singer Ruti Joel is expected to participate. Atome explained during preparations that the singer had repeatedly expressed his appreciation for Carte d’Identité and his wish to take part in the production.

DJ Pyfo joins the lineup at Something African IV

At Mundi Center, Saturday’s programme will turn to African electronic music as Depot 37 hosts Something African IV. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and continue until 2 a.m. on Sunday.

DJ Pyfo is among the announced performers, alongside DJ Fiston, K’Ru, Kevin Klein, Itsmdnyt and Gaga. Team Kumba, comprising DJ Motari and Kavumbi Dust, is also on the lineup.

The venue describes the event as a celebration of African electronic sounds, combining electronic music with rhythms from across the continent.

New Melody hosts Selah Concert III at Camp Kigali

On Sunday, New Melody Choir will stage Selah Concert III at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, commonly known as Camp Kigali. The concert is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
