The National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) has announced that agricultural and livestock exports generated more than Rwf13.7 billion for Rwanda within just five days, between April 27 and May 1, 2026.
The information was released in a summary published by NAEB on Thursday, May 7, 2026. According to the institution, Rwanda exported 9,488 tons of agricultural and livestock products during that period, earning over Rwf13.7 billion in foreign revenue.
NAEB also detailed the different crops and products that contributed to these earnings, including their export volumes and the revenue generated from each.
Coffee exports totaled 236 tons and brought Rwanda approximately Rwf1.2 billion.
Tea exports reached 1,232 tons, generating around Rwf1.37 billion.
During the same period, Rwanda exported 366 tons of vegetables, which earned about Rwf898 million, while 517 tons of fruits generated Rwf542 million. Flower exports also contributed, with 17 tons of flowers bringing in Rwf137 million.
NAEB further noted that other agricultural products not specifically listed accounted for 6,541 tons of exports, generating approximately Rwf5.2 billion.
As for livestock products, the institution stated that Rwanda exported 572 tons of animals and animal products, earning nearly Rwf695 million.
