President Kagame Meets RPF-Inkotanyi Senior Cadres to Reaffirm Party Values

President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame, who is also Chairman of the RPF-Inkotanyi party, met with senior leaders of the party, once again reflecting on its history and values, including people-centered governance and accountability.

This took place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the RPF-Inkotanyi headquarters in Rusororo, Gasabo District, according to the Office of the President of Rwanda.

The Presidency said: “This afternoon at Intare Arena, President Kagame, Chairman of RPF-Inkotanyi, met with Senior Cadres of the RPF for discussions on the Party’s history and its role in Rwanda’s transformation.”

The Office of the President added: “The meeting emphasized the importance of members upholding the Party’s values, including people-centered governance and accountability, to advance the Party’s mission of Rwanda’s continued development.”

This meeting was held 10 days after the RPF-Inkotanyi Political Bureau meeting, which took place on July 17, 2026, also chaired by Chairman Paul Kagame.

In his remarks, President Kagame reflected on the nature and history of the RPF-Inkotanyi party, saying it differs from other political parties, because it is grounded in seeking solutions to existing problems.

He said: “Generally, when people talk about RPF or other parties, it becomes just politics, politics turns hollow, things become mere noise. What I understand RPF’s politics to be is confronting problems and seeking solutions, there is no other kind of politics. Politics of lies, of fabrication, of deceit, of finding ways to manipulate or ‘paint a picture,’ as some call it, that only creates more problems for you; it doesn’t give you solutions, it only adds to the problems you already had.”

At this RPF-Inkotanyi Political Bureau meeting, President Kagame said that when members come together, it is a moment for self-examination, such that if someone deceives themselves or lies to others, there must be consequences.
