BK Arena management has published its complete “Events House Rules,” setting out entry procedures, a dress code, alcohol and age requirements, and conduct standards for concerts and other events at the venue, just a day before Nigerian artist Rema is set to perform there as part of this year’s Kwita Izina gorilla-naming celebrations on Saturday, 5 September 2026.
On entry, BK Arena said guests should arrive early to allow sufficient time for entry and security procedures, follow the guidance of its guest experience, security and venue teams, and understand that all guests are subject to the venue’s standard safety and security checks.
On dress code, the venue said personal style and self-expression are welcome, but since it is a shared public venue, everyone is asked to dress in a manner appropriate for the environment. Intimate areas must remain adequately covered, and transparent or see-through garments must provide adequate coverage of those areas. Clothing displaying obscene, hateful, discriminatory or threatening words, images or symbols is not permitted.
On safety and conduct, BK Arena said everyone deserves to enjoy its events safely. Harassment, threatening behaviour, fighting or violence will not be tolerated, and guests are asked to respect the personal space, safety and enjoyment of fellow guests. The venue added that guests must follow all safety instructions from venue and security teams, and that anyone whose behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others may be refused entry or asked to leave.
On venue hours, gates open at 3 p.m., doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the concert is scheduled to end at 1 a.m.
On alcohol and age requirements, BK Arena said alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 18, valid identification will be requested when purchasing alcoholic beverages, and guests are asked to drink responsibly, as public intoxication or behaviour that compromises one’s own safety or that of others will not be permitted.
BK Arena closed its guidelines with a direct message to guests: “Come for the entertainment. Bring the energy. Look out for each other.”
