The first phase of Masaka Views Eco Estate in Kigali reached 85% completion, with NCBA Bank Rwanda offering eligible homebuyers mortgage financing of up to 105% of the property value through its partnership with developer Fortis Green Housing.
The development, located in Masaka Sector of Kigali’s Kicukiro District, includes apartments, family houses and townhouses designed to provide housing options for buyers and tenants.
The partnership allows eligible buyers to seek financing through NCBA’s Tura Neza 105% mortgage scheme, which is designed to cover the full purchase price of a home and additional costs, including insurance and bank charges.
Nyabagabo Fleury, Assistant Manager for Marketing, Communications and Citizenship at NCBA Bank Rwanda, encouraged prospective buyers to visit the estate and explore the financing arrangements available through the bank.
According to Nyabagabo, the partnership was intended to help people interested in purchasing homes at the development access mortgage financing rather than having to pay the full purchase price upfront.
The bank’s published mortgage terms provide for repayment periods of up to 20 years, with a negotiable annual interest rate of 16%.
The Tura Neza 105% scheme also offers qualifying customers the possibility of purchasing a home without making an initial down payment.
However, the bank’s publicly available terms indicate a maximum loan amount of Rwf140 million for a primary residence. Buyers would therefore need to confirm whether the same limit and other conditions apply to the Masaka development.
Properties advertised at the estate include two-bedroom and four-bedroom houses, with prices ranging from Rwf102 million to Rwf212 million.
The price range means that buyers interested in some of the more expensive properties may need additional funds beyond the bank’s published mortgage limit.
Meanwhile, Fortis Green Housing said construction of the estate’s first phase was nearing completion, with work continuing on landscaping, cleaning and other finishing activities.
Furaha Amos, the company’s Director of Development, said much of the major construction work had been completed, while improvements to the surrounding environment were underway.
The developer reported that water and electricity infrastructure had already been installed, with work on internal roads continuing.
According to the company’s latest figures, the first phase includes 92 housing units intended for sale and another 88 for rental.
The estate also incorporates environmentally conscious design features, including green spaces and infrastructure intended to support sustainable residential living.
Fortis Green Housing’s development plans include facilities for water recycling, household waste management and energy-efficient buildings.
Situated near the developing Kigali Medical City area, Masaka Views is among the residential projects being developed as urban expansion continues in the eastern part of Kigali.
The developer has invited prospective buyers to visit the estate and inspect available properties as construction of the first phase approaches completion.
Through the partnership with NCBA Bank Rwanda, prospective homeowners can explore financing arrangements while assessing the available housing options and their affordability.
