Rwandan and Chinese Institutions Signed Agreements on Skills and Cultural Heritage Cooperation

Rwandan and Chinese institutions signed two cooperation agreements covering technical education and cultural heritage during an RPF-Inkotanyi delegation’s visit to China.

The agreements were signed in Changsha, during a visit led by RPF-Inkotanyi Secretary General Christophe Bazivamo, who witnessed the ceremony.

One agreement brought together Rwanda Polytechnic and Changsha Vocational and Technical College to strengthen cooperation in technical and vocational education.

A Chinese report on the ceremony also identified Asia Machinery Investment Company Limited as a participant in the agreement involving Rwanda Polytechnic.

The second agreement was signed between the Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy and Changsha Museum, establishing a framework for cooperation in cultural heritage preservation and museum-related work.

Bazivamo and his delegation toured Changsha Museum before attending the signing ceremony.

The RPF Secretary General also held discussions with leaders of Hunan Province on proposed cooperation between Changsha and Kigali, as well as between Loudi and Muhanga District.

The discussions covered trade, investment, agriculture, technology and education. These areas formed part of the wider talks and were separate from the two institutional agreements signed in Changsha.

Earlier in the visit, Bazivamo met Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, in Beijing.

Their discussions focused on strengthening relations between RPF-Inkotanyi and the Communist Party of China, including cooperation in trade, youth exchanges, leadership training and local-level engagement.
