A delegation from Singapore’s ST Engineering held talks with Rwandan officials to explore investment and partnership opportunities in transport, water treatment and energy infrastructure as part of the ongoing Rwanda-Singapore Trade and Investment Mission.
According to Rwanda’s High Commission in Singapore, the delegation met with Canoth Manishimwe, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure, alongside senior officials from the Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC), Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Ecofleet Rwanda.
The meeting, held on Monday, October 12, focused on potential cooperation in developing transport systems, improving water treatment facilities and strengthening energy infrastructure.
The discussions brought together representatives of the company and Rwandan institutions responsible for key public services to examine possible areas of technical collaboration and investment.
ST Engineering is a Singapore-based technology, defence and engineering group operating in several industries, including aerospace, smart-city technologies and transport infrastructure.
The company provides engineering and technology solutions for urban transport systems, infrastructure management and other public services.
Its experience in these areas formed part of the discussions on potential cooperation with Rwandan institutions.
The visit took place during a trade and investment mission involving 16 Singaporean companies exploring business opportunities in Rwanda.
The mission, which runs from October 5 to 15, includes engagements with government institutions, regulators, financial institutions and private businesses across the country.
