Rwanda generated $15,582,459 from exporting 9,145 metric tonnes of agricultural and animal products between August 31 and September 4, 2026.
Figures released by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) show that coffee was the largest source of revenue during the five-day period.
Rwanda exported 961 metric tonnes of coffee, generating $6,675,336.
Animal products were the second-largest contributor, earning $5,701,793 from 6,827 metric tonnes of exports.
Tea exports amounted to 419 metric tonnes and brought in $1,283,103, while 270 metric tonnes of vegetables generated $991,055.
The country also earned $454,980 from exporting 364 metric tonnes of fruits and $425,294 from 295 metric tonnes of diversified agricultural products.
Flower exports generated $50,898 from 10 metric tonnes shipped during the period.
The products were exported to markets including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, the United States, Kyrgyzstan and several African countries.
NAEB said coffee’s strong performance demonstrated the continuing importance of quality and traceability in helping Rwandan agricultural products compete in international markets.
The latest figures follow a strong performance during the 2025/26 fiscal year, when Rwanda’s agricultural exports generated $1.1 billion, up from $893 million in the previous year.
That represented a 24.3 per cent increase and marked the first time the country’s annual agricultural export earnings surpassed $1 billion.
