HOME POINT, one of Rwanda’s most trusted electronics and home appliance retailers, has reinforced its commitment to delivering quality products and convenience to customers across the country.

Specializing in a wide range of products — including televisions, refrigerators, electric cookers, and more — HOME POINT has built a strong reputation over the past 15 years for providing high-quality, durable, and modern appliances.

With the launch of this new branch, the company is not only celebrating its impressive legacy but also moving closer to its customers as the city of Kigali continues to grow and evolve.

The inauguration event was graced by dignitaries, including an official from the Indian Embassy in Kigali, industry leaders, and dedicated customers who witnessed first-hand a wide range of cutting-edge electronic products and exceptional service that the new showroom offers.

Ambassador Professor Charity MANYERUKE from the Embassy of Zimbabwe in Rwanda, Mr. Avinash Rao – 2nd Secretary from the Office of The High Commission of India (HCI) in Rwanda were few of the distinguished guest present.

The new showroom is in response to the need & requirements of the Rwandan people asking for these products hence HOMEPOINT has relocated to this new showroom, from their earlier showroom at Sonatube, Opposite Silverback Mall, mentioned the CEO of Hotpoint Rwanda, Mr. Murli Menon.

Speaking at the official opening on Wednesday, Ms. Nshimiyimana Console, Product Manager at HOME POINT, highlighted the brand’s unique position in the market:

“HOME POINT is officially authorized to sell LG products sourced from top manufacturing countries like Egypt and South Korea. We offer a wide selection tailored to meet the modern Rwandan household’s needs.”

The new Kicukiro branch is more than just an expansion — it’s part of a larger strategy to bring premium services and products directly to communities. Mr. Manoj Skariah, Managing Director, emphasized this customer-centric approach:

“Everything we do is for our customers. Our goal is to offer them a broad range of quality products while constantly improving our service and delivery. From our staff to our technicians, and the technology we use, everything is designed to meet and exceed customer expectations.”

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company Hotpoint Appliances Rwanda Ltd Mr. Murli Menon, reflected on the company’s journey over the past decade and a half.

“HOME POINT has become the largest electronics store in Rwanda offering the latest in home technology. Whether it’s their showrooms at Remera-Gisimenti, or in town at KIC Building (formerly known as UTC) , or now in Kicukiro, customers can find everything under one roof — all backed by a trusted name. Just today, several visitors said, ‘We didn’t know a store of this caliber existed in Rwanda.’ That’s the impact we aim for.”

Renowned for their long-lasting, high-performance appliances, HOME POINT ensures every product sold meets the demands of modern life — combining style, innovation, and reliability.

All purchases come with a warranty, and within Kigali, customers benefit from home delivery services.

With branches now in Remera, Downtown Kigali, and Kicukiro, the store’s leadership has confirmed plans to continue expanding into other parts of the country in the near future, supporting the city’s rapid development and reaching more customers nationwide.

Besides LG, the store also carries a wide variety of other international brands of home electronics and appliances, like Samsung, VON, Bosch, Philips, Black and Decker, Kenwood, Delonghi, Simfer, Ariete, Braun, Nutribullet & Hisense among many global brands. to name a few, to suit every household need.

“We shall have more international brands coming in like HAIER, Symphony, Brabantia, Tornado, etc; because today we see a lot of people in Rwanda wanting quality products and quality services,” Menon stated.

HOME POINT’s journey is a testament to consistency, quality, and trust — values that continue to drive its vision as Rwanda’s leading home appliance destination.

Founded in 2010 with just two employees, Hotpoint Rwanda now proudly employs over 30 staff members under the leadership of their CEO, Murli Menon.

Hotpoint is also deeply committed to youth development, regularly offering internships to IPRC students and donating equipment to educational labs.

Hotpoint is a pioneer in retail-finance integration, making it easy for Rwandans to afford home appliances at good deals.

Additionally, Hotpoint is expanding into the ICT sector with its new partnership with Lenovo Computers, ensuring customers have access to genuine, high-quality laptops and accessories backed by service guarantees.

“We understand the importance of trust and reliability in the ICT sector,” said Mr. Skariah. “Our customers will never have to worry about authenticity or service support.”

For instance, Hotpoint has partnered with I&M Bank to run the Ryoshya Iwawe (Improve your home) interest-free loan program. In a continued effort to make quality products accessible, the company is now launching its TUNGA TUNGA program of “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) program, offering all customers 0% interest-rate for up to 4 months — a first-of-its-kind initiative in Rwanda.

Menon also revealed that Hotpoint Rwanda is entering the luxury outdoor living segment through an exciting new partnership with Absolute Pools, a renowned UK-based company specializing in modern, pre-formed swimming pools.

With decades of experience and prestigious projects worldwide, Absolute Pools brings innovative solutions to transform urban living in Rwanda.

“This new venture will introduce durable, cost-effective, and easy-to-install pre-formed pools that overcome the limitations and high costs of traditional concrete pools,” Menon said.

Designed for longevity, style, and low maintenance, these pools offer a luxurious upgrade for residential and commercial properties alike. The official launch is planned for Q4 2025.
