Last week, two of our editorial topics were about lies, indiscipline, embezzlement as principles of governance lead to irresponsibility https.
The second topic was about Belgium’s involvement in Great Lakes countries, quoting Mobutu: “small country, small mind”.
Within 24 hours, this duo from DRC and Belgium gave us reason. Muyaya, the minister of communication in DRC and his colleague (see picture) played the usual lying game at such a high level and of course blamed Rwanda for their hopeless behaviour.
They denied having paid 500.000 usd at Davos and talked about 85usd/night. It’s interesting to read comments from Congolese themselves. No one believed them. These jokers have no limit. It’s an absence of leadership.
From Brussels, the minister Maxime Prevot, did not want to be left behind in that cacophony. His reaction on X to the Rwandan communique was just pathetic and unprepared. We believe that the marechal was right then and now: “small country, small mind”.
