President Paul Kagame, the Commander-in-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force, has commended Rwanda’s soldiers and members of other security organs for their professionalism, discipline, and commitment, reminding them that their dedication is always recognized and appreciated.
In his end-of-year message addressed to the Rwanda Defence Force and other security agencies, President Kagame expressed his gratitude, stating: “As we close another year, I take this moment to express my deepest appreciation in your service. Your dedication and professionalism continue to uphold the values and security of our Nation.”
The Head of State noted that despite challenges and difficult moments, the men and women of the Rwanda Defence Force and other security institutions have continued to serve with dedication, both at home and while deployed on missions abroad.
He emphasized that their vigilance within the country has ensured the safety of citizens, protected national security, and strengthened Rwanda’s territorial integrity on a daily basis.
President Kagame also highlighted the unwavering commitment of those serving in peacekeeping missions, praising their tireless efforts to protect human life using all available capabilities, expertise, and determination.
“Through your shared determination, Rwanda continues to enjoy peace and stability. Our nation has achieved remarkable progress across various sectors, and the people of Rwanda appreciate your contributions, which have enabled them to carry out their socio-economic activities in a stable and secure environment.” he said.
The President reiterated remarks he recently made during a meeting of the FPR-Inkotanyi Congress, where he stated that the Rwanda Defence Force and security institutions the country has today are exactly what he had always aspired to build.
He noted that as the year comes to an end, Rwandans have continued to make commendable progress in unity, self-reliance, and prioritizing national interests, guided by integrity and patriotism.
“As we move into a new year, I urge you to maintain this momentum and continue to uphold the principles of integrity and accountability that define our forces. Let us remain vigilant and adaptive to evolving threats as we continue to work towards the shared vision of a secure, prosperous, and united Rwanda,” he added.
President Kagame also extended special appreciation to those serving outside the country who were unable to spend the festive season with their families, acknowledging the sacrifices made by both the service members and their families.
“Your courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication make us all proud as Rwandan. To the mourning families who have lost loved ones in service, I honor your sacrifice and assure you that we will always stand by your side.” he said.
He concluded by reminding members of the Rwanda Defence Force and other security agencies to continue serving with the same dedication, assuring them that their commitment will always be remembered and honored.
