Esther Mbabazi wabaye umupilote wa mbere w’umugore mu Rwanda, akaba yanabaye uwa mbere w’Umunyarwandakazi winjiye mu cyiciro cya Captain mu mwuga wo gutwara indege, yamaze no kwinjira mu Ishyirahamwe Mpuzamahanga w’Abagore b’Abapilote ku Isi.

Capt. Esther Mbabazi yinjiye muri iri shyirahamwe International Society of Women Airline Pilots, kuri uyu wa Gatatu tariki 25 Nzeri 2024, mu gikorwa cyabereye muri Virginia muri Leta Zunze Ubumwe za America.

Ambasaderi w’u Rwanda muri Leta Zunze Ubumwe za America, Mathilde Mukantabana yashimiye Capt. Esther Mbabazi ku bw’iyi ntambwe ishimishije yateye.

Yagize ati “Ndashimira Captain Esther Mbabazi ku bwo kuba yinjiye muri Ihuriro ry’Aba-Captain’s Club rya International Society of Women Airline Pilots uyu munsi muri Virginia muri Leta Zunze Ubumwe za America.”

Amb. Mathilde Mukantabana ukomeza avuga ko Capt. Esther Mbabazi ari na we wabaye umupilote wa mbere mu Rwanda w’Umugore, yavuze ko yabashije gutwara indege nini ya yo mu bwoko bwa Airbus A330 RwandAir ndetse na CRJ 900 ayoboye ingendo nka Captain muri uyu mwuga wo gutwara indege.

Igikorwa cyo kuyobora urugendo rw’indege nka Captain cyabaye bwa mbere tariki 23 Kamena 2024, ari na cyo cyakurikiwe no kwinjira muri Captain Club ndetse no muri International Society of Women Airline Pilots.
