A major road linking the districts of Nyanza in the Southern Province and Bugesera and Ngoma in the Eastern Province will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic for seven hours due to scheduled activities taking place along the route.
This was confirmed in an announcement released on Thursday, November 20, 2025, by the Rwanda National Police, notifying the public and road users of the temporary closure.
The announcement reads “This is to inform the public that the road connecting Nyanza–Bugesera–Ngoma districts will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic due to scheduled activities along that route today, 20 November 2025, from 12:00 PM to 19:00 PM.”
The Police added that updates will be shared once the road becomes accessible again. Officers will be stationed along the affected area to help guide and support travelers who intended to use the road during the closure period.
