MTN Rwandacell Plc (MTN Rwanda) is proud to announce the official launch of its 5G network, across different locations including Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Kicukiro, and Kamonyi Districts.
With the initial deployment at the Kigali Convention Centre–Kigali Heights–KABC area in May, this launch marks a significant milestone in Rwanda’s digital transformation journey. The launch of 5G in Rwanda is set to accelerate progress across key sectors of the economy. In healthcare, 5G will enable quicker access to health care services such as real-time patient monitoring, improving service delivery even in hard-to-reach communities. The 5G network will be accessible to users with compatible devices, including iPhone 14 and above, as well as selected models from Transsion brands such as TECNO and Infinix. MTN Rwanda is currently in the process of closing certification with Samsung, with Google Pixel certification to follow.
