Two officers holding the rank of Major in the Rwanda Defense Forces have completed their studies at the Senior Command and Staff College (SCSC) in Kimaka, Uganda. This comes just three weeks after other RDF officers graduated from a military institution in Kenya.
The graduates from SCSC are Maj Charles Ndayambaje and Maj Isaac Buregeya, who completed their studies alongside fellow officers in the 2024-2025 academic year.
According to the RDF High Command, which provided this information, “today, June 27, 2025, the Commandant of the Rwanda Defense Force Command and Staff College, Brig Gen Andrew Nyamvumba, attended the graduation ceremony of the 2024-2025 intake at SCSC in Kimaka, Uganda.
These senior RDF officers completed their training in Uganda less than a month after two other RDF senior officers graduated from Kenya’s Joint Command and Staff College earlier this month, on June 5, 2025. Those officers were Maj. Emmanuel Rutayisire and Maj. Hipolyte Muvunyi.
They also followed in the footsteps of their senior, Col Patrick Nyirishema, who had graduated from Kenya’s National Defense College (NDU Kenya), having received his certificate on May 27, 2025.
