Dr. Ron Adam, who was the first Ambassador of Israel to Rwanda, said that he once again enjoyed wonderful moments in the Land of a Thousand Hills, which he considers his second home after his country of origin.
He shared this in a message posted on his social media platform X on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, where he expressed that he had returned home.
Using photos showing key moments he spent in Rwanda, Dr. Ron Adam wrote: “Once again, I had wonderful moments in my second home in Rwanda. We shall come back soon.”
Among the activities he highlighted was attending the All Women Together conference, which was held for the 13th time in Kigali, as well as visiting tea plantations that showcase Rwanda’s beauty.
Ambassador Dr. Ron Adam also showed that he visited various initiatives, including those involving youth, such as art projects.
Since completing his mission as Israel’s representative in Rwanda, Amb. Dr. Ron Adam has continued to show his love for Rwanda and always stands in solidarity with Rwandans during important events. He even participated in the launch of the 31st Kwibuka commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi held in Tel Aviv, where he also delivered a message and concluded with a well-known Rwandan expression: “Intore ntiganya ishaka ibizubizo”, which he said was a Kinyarwanda saying that impressed him.
Dr. Ron Adam, who became the first Israeli Ambassador to Rwanda in 2018, ended his mandate in August 2023 and was succeeded by Einat Weiss.
Israel officially opened its Embassy in Rwanda in May 2019, which was also when Ambassador Dr. Ron Adam began his service.
