The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Rwanda Defence Force, General MK Mubarakh, today hosted a delegation from the Sri Lanka Defence Services Command and Staff College at RDF Headquarters in Kimihurura.
The visiting team, composed of students and faculty, is in Rwanda as part of a study tour scheduled from July 28 to August 8, 2025. The delegation is led by Commodore (Brigadier General) Nalida Dissanayake.
During his remarks, Gen Mubarakh highlighted that the visit reflects the strengthening relationship between Rwanda and Sri Lanka, especially in the areas of military cooperation and education. He noted that the collaboration between the Rwanda Defence Force and the Sri Lankan Armed Forces is built on mutual trust, shared values, and a joint commitment to advancing defence education and capacity development.
Brig Gen Nalida Dissanayake, who heads the delegation, expressed appreciation to the RDF for the warm reception and support throughout their stay. He acknowledged that the group had gained valuable insights and experiences from their engagements with various government institutions and defence bodies across the country.
